The Institute published its Introductory Brochure in the year 2002, which provided details of various programmes. Another version of this brochure with modifications was published in the year 2005. This brochure provides information of objectives, thematic areas and three divisions of IIHS.

IIHS started publishing its Biannual Bulletin from September, 2005 and since then it has published three bulletins.

Visual documentation of various cultural traditions, dance drama and their role in sustainable development of Himalayas was taken up by the institute. Some of the VCD's available with the institute are:

Himalayan Studies Journal

Himalayan Studies Journal, the journal of the Institute of Integrated Himalayan studies (UGC Centre of Excellence), Himachal Pradesh University is published by the institute. It is multi-disciplinary journal covering various issues of concern in the Himalayan region using scientific and/or humanities based perspectives and contains papers on sciences/ social sciences, book reviews, review article, research note and creative writing.
