Assessment of the Dietary Pattern and Nutritional Profile of the People of Himachal Pradesh, Anjali Dewan, Department of Home Science, St. Bede’s College, Shimla

The report compiles studies conducted on Dietary Pattern and Nutritional Profile of the People of Himachal Pradesh. It is evident from this status report that a more systematic and a co-ordinated approach is required to identify the gaps in research done in the field of assessment of the nutritional status of the people of Himachal Pradesh. Though a number of studies have been undertaken, there is no proper record of the results obtained. The National Family Health Survey II (NFHS-II) has covered a number of districts, but a lot more needs to be done. The report will help in emergence of a clear picture of the profile of nutritional status of the people of this state.
