Plant Parasitic Nematodes Associated With Conifers in Himachal Pradesh, D.C. Kalia, Department of Biosciences, HPU, Shimla – 5

The study deals with the collection and identification of the plant parasitic nematodes from the rizospheres/aerial parts of the pine trees.  During the investigation nine species of nematodes were worked out from the rizospheres/twigs of ‘chir pine’ and ‘blue pine’ from different localities of district Shimla.  These species were Criconemella macrodora, Hemicriconemoides cocophillus, Hemicriconemoides mangiferae, Ogma filmcivatum, Ogma, Paratylenchus micoletzkyi, Bursaphelenchus minutus, Xiphinema americanum and, Xiphinema insigne.
