The book brought out by the Institute in the year 2005 is edited by Prof. L.R. Sharma and has been published by Indus Publishing Company, New Delhi. The book contains scholarly contributions documenting various facets of quality of life in the Himalayan region. With the help of new paradigms and theoretical approaches the authors have critically examined various problematic issues. The editor has written a critical commentary. The book contains 13 scholarly contributions documenting some of the diverse facets of the quality of life in the western Himalayas with a focus on the Himalayan Region.
