North Zone Psychiatric Conference
Institute of integrated Himalayan Studies associated with the Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College Hospital Chandigarh in the conduct of a panel discussion on the Mental Health of the Himalayan People during 27th North Zone Psychiatric Conference held at Chandigarh on October 19 & 20, 2002.

1. Strategies for the Development of Sustainable Livelihood Systems in Himalayan Region
The Institute organized a one-day Seminar on Strategies for the Development of Sustainable Livelihood Systems in Himalayan Region on March 24, 2003.

2. Integration of Gender in Poverty Alleviation and Natural Resource Management
A one-day seminar was organized on "Integration of Gender in Poverty Alleviation and Natural Resource Management on April 22, 2003. Scholars from different disciplines participated in this seminar.

3. Community Preparedness Programme on Developing Volunteers for Disaster Mitigation
National Environmental Science Academy in collaboration with CPRI, Shimla and IIHS, organized "Community Preparedness Programme on Developing Volunteers for Disaster Mitigation" from 23-26 September 2004.

4. International Workshop on Train the Trainer
IIHS was actively associated with a workshop entitled "Train -the Trainer Workshop" organized by The Ministry of Environment and Forestry Govt. of India along with Indian Environmental Society from 11th to 19th April 2005.

5. International Workshop on Conserving Hill and Mountain Ecology
The workshop was organized from August 24-26, 2005 by the Indo-American Environmental Leadership Program (IAELP) of United States Educational Foundation in India in association with Institute of Integrated Himalayan Studies.

6. Workshop on Enhancing Youth Employability in Himachal Pradesh, University - Industry Partnership
The Institute actively collaborated with the Centre for Adult, Continuing Education & Extension (CACEE) for conducting a workshop on 8th and 9th December, 2005 on Enhancing Youth Employability in Himachal Pradesh, University- Industry Partnership.

7. Workshop on Translation of Selected Himachali Short Stories
A Workshop on "Translation of Selected Himachali Short Stories" was organized by Dr. Meenakshi F. Paul in Bachat Bhavan, Shimla on 28th November, 2005.

8. Workshop-Bhunda Mahayajna
A workshop on Bhunda Mahayajna was organized by Shri Bhawani Singh and Shri Kuldeep Singh, project associates in the Institute of Integrated Himalayan Studies.

9. Workshop to Finalize Methodology for Project Entitled -Development in the Himalayan Villages: An Integrated Study
Dr. Richa organized a workshop on 31st May 2006, with support from Dr. Pankaj Gupta and the administrative staff of IIHS for discussing and finalizing the methodology for the project.
